Clinical Study on the Ankle Joint Traction Therapy for Ankle Sprain

Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate clinical effects of ankle joint traction therapy for ankle sprain.

Methods: Control group(n=12) was treated only acupuncture therapy, and sample group(n=12) was treated ankle joint traction therapy after acupuncture therapy same as conrol group. Degrees of pain were measured with Visual Analog Scale(VAS).

Results: Sample group was not statistically significant in VAS of Treatment ¥°. But, statistically significant in VAS of Treatment ¥±, Treatment ¥² and difference between VAS of Treatment ¥° and Treatment ¥² compared with control group.

Conclusions: In this clinical study, oriental medical treatment with ankle joint traction therapy was more effective in reduce ankle sprain pain.
